The 2009 Lusitano Breed Show was once again our most successful, even beating our fantastic results last year. House Stallion Uivador Da Broa won the Show Champion and was awarded his 2nd Gold Medal. His daughters Capriole and Charneca were named Female Champion and Partbred Champion respectively. This has to be the first time the 3 major breed championships were won by the same stud and we were delighted with the results. But these we not our only successes. All our in hand horses won their class and of course we were once again named as 'Best British Breeder' for the 3rd year running.

Xariel (right) also had success winning the Ridden Partbred Class. Xariel, an unusual Sorreia x Lusitano was imported from Portugal and has been trained by Pen Llyn. Homebred Tessala (left) lost her Partbred Champion crown she earned last year but was placed 2nd behind Xariel in the same class. |
