Classical Dressage and Trick Training Lecture/Demo and Lessons
Friday 1st July 7.30pm (Demo) and Saturday 2nd July (Lessons)
Presented by The Modern Horse at New Barn, Chelford Rd, Ollerton, Cheshire WA16 8SZ
We will be performing a Classical Dressage and Trick Training Demonstration at New Barn in Cheshire. Come and see how we train from basics to advanced dressage moves and tricks. Lastly due to the great success of the clinic held in March we will be holding another Trick Training Clinic in the next few months. Janine has trained a number of horses how to perform more advanced moves of Classical Dressage and Tricks and this is a unique opportunity to share her knowledge and experience. Uivador Da Broa is awarded
Recommended **** studhorse by the APSL, the
first and only Luistano in the UK to have this
status.
Uivador Da Broa has achieved fantastic success
winning the Chamipon Male at The international
Festival of the Lusitano in 2008 and then winning
UK Champion of Champions 2009. At the LSBSGB
show 2009 his progeny all won their classes
with Capriole being crowned youngstock Champion
and overall Female Chamipon and Charneca winning
the Part-bred Championship. Uivador has received
2 gold medals and in addition to these honours
has now been awarded the prestigious Recommended
**** studhorse status by the APSL which is only
awarded to the highest quality stallions that
the APSL recommend for breeding.
Uivador, bred by Manuel Travares
Veiga, is the first stallion in the UK to be
given this status and is available at stud by
AI, frozen and chilled semen (available from
Twemlows Stallion AI services). For details

 Pen Llyn Lusitano Stud and Riding Centre is the leading Lusitano stud in the UK. Started by Marcia, and her husband Keith, Pendlebury over 30 years ago the centre began breeding Lusitanos in 1994 with the introduction of their foundation stallion, Hilario by Marcia's daughter Janine. Janine has worked with some of the best Portuguese trainers and is renowned in her field for her training skills and extensive knowledge of the Lusitano Breed.
Breeding
From small beginnings the Pendlebury's have expanded their stud to consist of several mares from leading bloodlines including the famous bullfighter Opus 72 and John Whittakers showjumper Novilheiro. Now also the home of the only purebred Veiga stallion in the UK, Uivador Da Broa. His quality was recognised at the International Festival of the Lusitano Horse 2008 winning Champion Male and Champion of Champions at the Lusitano Breed Society GB Show in 2009. Several of his progeny have gone on to win youngstock and partbred championships showing the quality of the breeding at Pen Llyn.
Training
